Gonna make that my new "What's up" idiom.

"What's up sheeple?". Erm, moving on...

Why does the title say "You Are a Rogue Device"? Reminds of a title for a cosplaying thread...

As for the actual news: All I can say is that I am glad I don't live in Seattle right now. I think people are overreacting a tiny bit, but this is truly quite fucked up...

Yeah, I know :) I was just wondering why they chose to use that as the title (stupid question, I know), because it seems kinda weird to me...

-snip-

The TSA has got to be the most useless, pointlessly reactive and reactionary agency on the face of the planet. That latest things with the electronic devices makes literally no sense. How do they know they won't fill have the laptop or phone or tablet or whatever with C4 and leave the rest with a smaller battery? That's entirely feasible and would totally foil this "preventative measure."

I'll probably have the DHS breaking down my door for saying that, but it just makes me so mad at their ignorance for thinking they could save lives that way. You saved lives by making the door on all airplanes heavily reinforced and having it lock automatically so the pilots can't open it for the duration of the flight. I'm sure that's saved far more lives than their stupid "scan everything and everyone" BS. You know the body scanners can't tell the difference between C4 and body fat, and if you have something sideways in your pocket, it just blends into the background?

Adam Savage of the Mythbusters ACCIDENTALLY brought a 12" knife onto a commercial flight in his shorts, forgetting to take it out at the shop that morning. That's just sad.

-wrong thread-

The stone cannot know why the chisel cleaves it; the iron cannot know why the fire scorches it. When thy life is cleft and scorched, when death and despair leap at thee, beat not thy breast and curse thy evil fate, but thank the Builder for the trials that shape thee.
