3D Printing Them ships (Star Citizen)

CatCloud

Sup folks!

So i decided to do some Printing on some of the Ships from Star Citizen. (and maybe some other stuff)
I will keep updating the this post with picture on new ships ones i made them.
If you have any suggestions or maybe want more pictures let me know and ill see what i can do.

Material:
White PLA (somewhat transparent and glossy)
Black PLA (in shipping right now)

The Origin 300i
First one out is the 300i...

Sorry for the not so great pictures. :P

Thoughts: my first attempt was acceptable, somewhat rough here and there and i was unable to remove the support parts in certain areas like in the Engines.
The guns were terrible but i remade them.
UPDATE 1: (old) 300i + guns

The Avenger

Thoughts: It ended up better then the 300i but still somewhat rough here and there, can be fixed with some sandpaper and a hobby knife.

Looks very nice. too bad i only have this white PLA.  some details are hard to see due to that.
other then that, well it was abit hard to clean up, especially at the Engine area.

You might notice that there is missing a gun at the nose....well  i accidentally ripped it off :P

Upcoming ships:
...Maybe a Hornet.
I´ll see if i can make a Freelancer.
Connie (Requested: i´ll see what i can do)

@Jaybird
@MyInnerFred
@Slick

I have always wonder if you can make exact replica of a GPU, then paint it. attaching it to your motherboard. Showing off to your friends that your Fermi isnt really a Fermi and isnt really a Lava Pool

Possible, but not with mine. those super small fine details are too much for mine.

Maybe with a 3000$+ Printer

I can see that... How many did you spend on that printer?

 800~ usd

You couldve spend it on a better GPU than your dying 690.. Please dont save up for a 3d printer, just save up for your dying rig! *sniffs* I hope... that it will live a healthy new life *bursts to tears*

Would look good with a bit of black primer as it's veeery glossy so they look like you carved them out of soap.

Still looks awesome anyways, would be good to see the Aurora.

I know, but i don't have the stuff. I did get my Black PLA today though. dunno if it will be as "soapy" looking but we´ll see ones i print something with it.

lol if they were carved out of soap that would be impressive :P

Note: im trying too change software now so i can do more fine Tuning but im running into issues :(

TBH I'm considering buy a 3d printer now just trying to think of how to justify it to the missus and I don't think smashing all the cutlery in the house to 3d print new stuff isn't going to work

"pats on the back"

Jewelry my friend. Jewelry.

Print her some bracelets and whatnot then dip them in gold.

Kids toys are just as easy.

@Rashy Point taken. ill Think about it.
