7800x3d + 7900xt + 32gb 6000c30

 

all around upgrade

 

cpu is much better in gaming and far more power efficient

 

board has better i/o not to mention being able to drop in a new cpu without mobo or ram swap

 

upgraded the 7900gre to a 7900xt

 

ssd has been upgraded to a straight up faster high end tlc dram gen4 not to mention its cheaper than that slow dramless qlc overpriced crucial p3 plus

 

psu has been upgraded to 850w with no fan noise complaints and a 10 year warranty

 

btw you can also get the microcenter 7800x3d bundle and save 100$

I may have a different opinion on this than most.

 

I don't buy the K chips.

I buy the RAM that meets the maximum supported speed on the motherboard.

I don't overclock.

Buy the best GPU you can afford.

 

Air coolers are good, water cooling is better.

When selecting a PSU you should work out your average current draw and find a PSU that is efficient at that spot. All good PSU will have a graph showing where that is.
