What CPU/GPU were in your first gaming PC?

Askew

EVGA GTX 295 CO-OP edition and that thing ran hot and loud. I just wanted to play GTA IV but SLI resulted in negative scaling! I mean, come on, how many games do that...

A TRS-80 Model I w/ a 1.774 MHz Z80 CPU, 16k of RAM, and a tape drive. It was badass, I must have logged over 1,000 hours on Dungeon (aka. Zork).  :D

Are you threatening me?!

I had a 295 once, I had gotten rid of it for a 580 before GTA V but I remember GTA V having basically 0 SLI scaling.

Intel Pentium 100 Mhz.......don't remember anything else.....just too long ago. But it could play The Settlers II in SPLITSCREEN with two mice on one computer, so my brother and me could actually play an RTS, together, using only one PC.

Welp got my first computer in 2005 and it was a AMD single core Athlon 64, don't know the specs of it, was also using onboard Nvidia GPU (NF -430-N-A3 .if that means anything) and a ASUS mobo. The computer just sits in my room in a corner and gathers dust as you can tell, but can still if I want it too. 2 years ago I build my first and this is my second computer now.

The first rig I built for myself had an Athlon Thunderbird 1Ghz and I think a Voodoo4 that I poached from my parents machine until I upgraded to a Radeon 9000 series I think as I needed hardware T&L for C&C Generals.

Prior to that I'd been using the family Pentium 2 300 with a Voodoo 1, then Voodoo 2 card.

Amd Athlon 64 x2. used the on chip graphics. It could (just about) run Rome total war with units set to large.
Still have the board with CPU in my room. The board went bye-bye after about 2 years of abuse inside a case i used as a bedside table. but i still have it. kinda want to frame it and hang it on my wall.

My first computer was back in 1990 but it was a family computer with Darkside screen savers with flying toasters.  It could play Doom and Wolf 3D but my first real PC and not a laptop is the one I have now with I7 4930K and 2 GTX 780TI in SLI. Beats my family's old PC to dirt it does.

AMD FX 6300 and GTX 560 TI. Before that I used my dads single core and because the onboard was so bad on my motherboard until I got my 560 ti the single core played games better.

Pentium II with some ancient nVidia thing of which I can even remember the name. Let's just say that it was not very fast, even for it's time.

Wow, so I'm really THAT old then. For me it was an AMD K6-200 with an S3-Virge wannabe 3D Graphicscard - man that was a shitty GPU. The first half way decent 3D Accelerator in that system was an NVidia Riva 128, can't recall the brand name though. I just know that they don't exist anymore. Btw, this is still the same PC right now - I just upgraded it "a little bit" over the years until nothing of the original was left.
