I'm guessing they displayed it for 1/60th of a second. I.E you can see more than 30Hz

YouTube is capped at 30 fps as of now, so it was at least 1/30th. And yeah, you can see much more than 30Hz.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

I have seen this image so many times that I didn't even have to pause the video. Even a glimpse of it was enough to know what it was.

I've only seen the image a handful of times.

 

But the context and colour was really more than enough. In fact I'm pretty sure if I blinked and missed it, I still would've know what it was.
