Worst possible 1k dollar build

Whats the worst possible build for 1k dollars? Im talking worst possible performance, worst aesthetics.

Also for example if a part sells usually for $40 new, then its $40, even if theres a listing where it sells for $200. Your not allowed to find a listing for a part thats selling it way higher than it normally sells.

Only new parts.

Price range 950-1050 usd

Spending $1000 on something like a new old stock pre-built on Amazon from the early 2010s.

Questions like this are impossible to answer just because the actual prices for things are up for debate. There very much Is a lower bound for what you can pay for stuff, but there is no such upper bound. I could list a GT 1030 for half a million dollars if I wanted to, does that mean it's the most expensive GPU?

That's a really nice ITX 775 board. Very overpriced though

Worst build for $1,000 would be buying a used DEC, Xerox, or Sun server circa mid 90s.

No matter how awesome the machine is... the CPUs aren't x86. Good luck running damn near anything on them.

And they go for thousands becuase they're quite rare.

Unsure about the rest but the case has to be NZXT, the H510 if possible. That's $200 down the drain for sure.

Caroline doesn't need to hear all this, she's a highly trained professional.

This is easy, even avoiding just poorly listed items or new old stock, by using modern extremely high end motherboards

Behold, an Intel Celeron 300 dual core on a Z790 godlike max

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yG3TTY

A dual core and it's igpu in 2024 is going to have a bad enough time, even with an ssd and 8gb of ddr5

The God tier motherboard won't save it

A beowulf cluster of enough old Raspberry Pi’s to add up to $1,000.
