4 fake Intel cpus at bestbuy

So we had a situation where there was 4 fake Intel cpus at our best buy,

i7-12700

3x i9-14900k

You can tell the markings on the ihs is fake it's not the proper type of engravings. We tested them in 4 motherboards and they all didn't boot

We had to get one from outside our inventory to get a real one

Watch out guys always test ur shit before the return period ends best buys is only like 14 days.

Oh geez bright blue pcb and red silk screened lettering.

Good enough to fool on a glance.

Saw some replica cpu decorations on ali for 10$ a piece that looked extremely like these.

Pretty sure those red tags mean the CPUs came from the return warehouse. I do hope that Best Buy made a couple of phone calls to get whoever certified those into some very deep shit.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Don't the red labels mean those are customer returns?

"Replica decorations". Uh-huh, sure.

They know exactly what they're making those for.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

You could get em in red green and yellow too!

I think it's partly to avoid getting caught in a shipping check?

I buy a bunch of crap from BestBuy, if it has a red label its a open-box/return item, however usually it will say that rather than PRC. To my understanding however PRC items can't be resold in the store as they are considered to be unsellable in the store due to either being defective, hazardous, or they have a contract to send them back.

What's left out is whether they were on the shelf like that or if they were tagged after.

Sounds like a case of someone who doesn't give a fuck because lets be honest, Best Buy doesn't pay enough for people to care.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Man, if you buy something only to open it and find out its fake... How do you go about to convince the store you got a fake and you're not trying to finesse them.
