Latest Windows 11 Insider build breaks Baldurs Gate 3 and reportedly other games. Roll back! (invisible mouse cursor in-game)

Pgunrah

So I've got to the bottom of this issue I've been having since yesterday morning (16/03/24). when I turned my PC on and had Windows Insider update doing its usual thing.

Turns out that the latest Windows Insider programme update broke Baldurs Gate 3 for me (and reportedly other games for others). When I loaded BG3 into the menu, I had no mouse cursor. Nothing I tried to fix it worked. So after about 5 hours of head-scratching, I decided to roll back to the previous build of Windows 11 Insider. Low and behold, it fixed the issue and BG3's custom mouse cursor was back on the screen!

Thought I would post here for everybody, in case anybody has had noticeable problems with their games since yesterday, 16th March, the latest Windows Insider build is the culprit.

Thats good actually, i have never tried the insider program stuff before because i think it's a risk and MC might role an update that would make me fry my brain for the meantime.

You should edit your tittle abit so it could be abit more spesific.

well, now if microsoft manages to fix this before pushing it to release, insiders builds will have been useful for once.
