What the heck is wrong with this cursed uncopyable text?

I am trying to use the control f on the following webpage:

However, when I try it does not work. It is a pdf, as you can tell from the url, but when I dl it and open it in my pdf reader it still does not work when I try to use the control f function. When I type in a certain question on google, it comes up as a result, and google highlights keywords relating to the question as usual. Since google can do this there is obviously a way to read the text. How can I do this? 

 

Please, help me lift the curse some mad man has unfortunately decided to burden an innocent page of the webs with. It does not deserve it. And neither do I.

There's something weird with that pdf. You can usually search and copy text, but it's acting like an image in a web browser. Have you tried downloading the pdf?

It's a scan you can clearly see it. So it's a picture. So you need magic to copy that or use some magical converter to word or something.

OCR can only read so much from such illegible writing with half the letters faded... if Google could find it, kudos to them... Since the document isn't that long, you will do much service to all by converting it to a word file by typing.

If you want to try yourself, this is what I typed in for it to come up in google as the second result:

 

 

A. a series of dance movements  B. a contrasting key for each movement  C. binary or ternary form  D. movements that contrast in tempo and character

 

I am going to see if the stuff it highlights in google etc is more or less faded in the actual document.

EDIT 2: Scrolling back down I notice that most of the text is of equal fade. SO HOW THE CRUD DID GOOGLE DETECT IT? I bet they used the same dark magic the NSA does. The sooner we figure it out the better.

If I were to type at 50WPM... it will hardly take an hour to finish it... considering that it is just MCQ... it isn't that hard a task to do so. Best of Luck Mate!
