what can you do with driver CDs of stuff you threw away long ago?

VirusDumb

Found a bunch of those, like for an old router which we stopped using and sold, for a monitor which was broken and sold, just have those CDs lying around, I have an lg optical drive, is there anything I can do with CDs

Anything CD related is of limited use nowadays. I'd probably just throw them away.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Image them and throw them on archive.org in case someone somehow needs it, then throw away.

Coasters

They aren't very good coasters the moisture just wicks to the underside and defeats the purpose of being a coaster

Throw them away? 🤷‍♂️

I'm sure the data hoarders at the Internet Archive would want an image of those discs, if they don't have one already.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

CD Art

Pretty much anything on them is useless (unless you wanted to check to see if they were on archive.org or something and upload it).

Overall though, the only purpose is to do projects with them that you want something shiny like the above.

Careful when using them as a frisbee though, if they hit something solid they can smash and create a lot of mini sharp plastic splinters which you will find later on with your foot.

I've heard it recommended by 'experts'. you hang them by string in the tree, wind spins them and the reflected sunlight scares the birds. Its the movement and reflected light moving that does the scare, not the shine which as you say attracts
