The ultimate power move

One of three lenses launched today. The Z means it takes an optional power zoom attachment, great for video. Not a cheap lens though.

For me the new RF200-800 is the most interesting. I am betting they are already sold out on preorder, especially at the price.

The 10-18 APS-C lens is also going to sell well.

I reckon Canon have some very compelling lenses now, and it looks like there is a lot more to come next year. I personally am hoping for some more macro options.

Looks like every one of the sold out in the preorder, and all 3 of them look incredibly compelling.  Personally I’ll probably buy the 24-105 at some point, but I’m still in love with my 28-70 so finding reasons to take that off and use the 2.8 are few and far between.  I really hope the 200-800 comes out amazing, it seems likely it will with how great all the glass they’ve released has been.  I’m lucky enough to own 600mm f4 and am sniffing around the 100-300 so the super telephoto isn’t the most appealing thing to me personally.  It really is priced great if its even remotely close to the quality that they’ve been coming out with overall.

I went fuji APS-C. I'm just saying canon still doesn't have any good value lenses

Eh, i kind of disagree, certainly a lot of the birding/wildlife community will disagree with you if the 200-800 comes out and is a solid lens.  That is a crazy range for like $1800.

I also believe that the adapted EF glass is so good that basically the entire lineup for EF counts as excellent value lenses for RF systems, and canon mostly seems to agree with me given how few of those lenses have been replaced with new RF stuff instead aiming for much more unique stuff that you can only do with a mirror less mount

Fuji really is filling the APS-C niche nicely. Full frame market is pretty crowded as it is; I think they made the right move by focusing on APS-C.

System Specs: Second-class potato, slightly mouldy

I can second this. I use an EOS RP, and most of my lenses are EF lenses, and they are basically the exact same thing just with the adapter. Love them!
