Ryzen 7 5800x Clocks down under high load

So hello. I need help with this. My cpu is clocking down under high load. I can't explain much here is a pictureimage.thumb.png.96a5e609b5b2185d0d6614544e99cd02.png

what load? from the task manager it looks like it's getting load spikes rather than sustained high loads

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

well, which stress test exactly? cinebench? if not, try cinebench to see what happens... it doesn't seem to be overheating or hitting the power limit so it's likely the cpu is just not being stressed that much.

Happens the same in Cinebench image.thumb.png.6c8547b7f358905c8f50facfe2a0569d.pngimage.thumb.png.f6bb7d455682adab5ac9227e1705f107.png

It’s power limiting and throttling at the same time.

yeah looks like "nzxt cam" wasn't picking up the right values...

to eliminate thermal throttling you need to improve your cooling; it's possible the cooler is poorly mounted (by the way double check that you took off the plastic cover, it's easy to forget). power draw actually seems to be within the limits so maybe that's enough.

Which cooler are you using? Which paste? Which case and how many fans? other parts?

Any PBO tweaks? If not, you should try a negative PBO offset of 15 or 20.

Negative offset pushes cpu harder upwards. Need to add power to take advantage of the boost. He is at stock cpu limits and his cooling cannot handle a simple R24 load.

Not sure what you are using right now, but from what I have seen AIOs have a hard time with Zen 3.

I'm using now the Stock cooler... the cooler i had installed before did better but idm. Which paste I don't have clue. Need to buy new one because I didn't have to put new one. Case : Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L with 1 Fan. I have a 750W Power Suply from Coolermaster bronze. I have no PBO tweaks have to google it no clue what that is

Every time the cooler separates from the CPU, the paste has to be replaced. So I don't understand the "didn't have to put new one" part.

Get more case fans. You lack airflow.

I know. I'm ordering tomorrow new paste. And get some fans in the future

get better cooling, as many fans fit in your case, simply.

Uninstall nzxt cam and never install it again.

good luck! 👍

I might can just install 2 Fans. Now I have just one in the back. Would it be ok if there are just 2 Fans in the front?

You aren't hurting anything right now, but you also aren't getting the performance you could be getting.

Attaboy.

Yeah  anything from AMD that is made on 7nm or smaller will be a bit of a challenge to cool. I prefer Thermalright coolers.

yeah thats the absolute minimum 2 front 1 back...that should lower temps quite a bit. also try setting all fan speeds to 100% or 90% so you roughly know the cooling potential and go from there.

You could buy a splitter too, or splice the fans together yourself

No it really doesn't. If it's a year old sure, but on a new machine, it really doesn't.
