Does this motherboard have what it takes!?????

Go to solution Solved by Bananasplit_00,

if you want something that will never ever go down you would be looking at server grade stuff with ECC everything.

i think for what you are looking for this would be a decent motherboard, but dont think that it will be the best thing ever forever. Eventually in a few years its going to limit you as you cant upgrade because of the chipset

Budget (including currency): $3500.00 USD could be more roughly the price of the components PC build only

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: any games or video editing we can muster in the future 5-10 years of our YouTube channel,8K resolution, you can't crash this,by typical workflow means and more,12K&16k,all the triumph and all a PC build will ever be before we all start to get server computers like Linus just technology flies when it's having fun evolving!!!!!!!!!!..........

Other details (ATX midtower PC case,SATA disk reader/writer,USB 2.0 internal SD card reader,X670-P motherboard, rumored 8950X3D still using AM5, DDR5 5200 128gb,RTX 50 series probably a TITAN card,at least 2 PCI-E expansion cards one for USB 3.0 the other for extra SATA storage,4TB PCI-E 5.0 m.2 SSD,4tb HDD with future expansion,2tb SATA 3 SSD.)Meta Quest 3,3D printer, home NAS storage backup, Mic,7.1 surround speakers,8K gaming monitor, the whole 9 yards), what you're upgrading from, a A320 motherboard, ryzen 7 2700X, DDR4 3200 16gb,RTX 3050,256gb SATA 3 SSD boot device,1tb HDD mass storage,1tb m.2 nvme SSD game drive, when you're going to buy,2024-2025, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at,60hz, etc): will a X670 chipset work for my expansion cards because I find that X670E always seems to have too much m.2 SSD storage expansion and not enough PCI-E expansion slots for room for a beefy GPU please let us know?!

just wanted to let you know that this PC build is our version of a Fursuit expense it's supposed to express our creativity as Animaloid humans and as furries just thought we'd let you know!!!....

Stop thinking in terms like 5-10 years.

10 years ago we had processors like AMD FX-8320 just being released - do you see yourself still using a socket AM3 today with a FX-8320?  No, we had 4-5  generations of Ryzen since then, and you're gonna have a new generation at least once every 2 years.

Motherboard is fine, solid, wouldn't say it's ideal board for a $3-4k build but it would work.

"8K resolution, you can't crash this,by typical workflow means and more,12K&16k,all the triumph and all a PC build will ever be before we all start to get server"

No, don't bother, nobody's gonna play at more than 4K in the next 5 years.. after that, what you buy now will be obsolete.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Just get a good pc now around 2k and replace it in 5 years with the money you saved. It will be heaps faster and well very few people will be using a pc for 10 years.

Keep in mind 10 years ago was the time of a i7 3770 and fx 8350 2 cpu's that can barely/cant play todays games anymore well. The best gpu would have been a r9 290x longevity wise if we cheat a little and that card is again NOT holding on.

This post kind of feels like a troll post IMO. I mean just look at their user name and the fact that they included like 10 furry pictures, which have no relation at all to their post
