I would assume right at the start they will say any questions pertaining to the allegations and GN will be ignored and rightful so.

I would like a normal show and respect any such request by this group.

Pretty sure they're going to disable chats or at the very least filter out certain words like 'Madisson', 'GN', ect...

I wouldn't believe a random person at LTT who didn't even really confirm it was happening. If it does it's going to be the latest WAN show ever, might as well call it a Saturday show.

I suspect they will cover it at least a little and MAYBE they will answer a few of the more interesting questions if Dan finds any that are softball yet informative enough. They are definitely not talking about Madison as that’s an ongoing investigation and something they probably need their lawyer for before making any public statements.

I don't want them to try to address Mad-son because there is no way to win there. Either she is unstable and fragile and perceives what isn't there (possible) or she is strong as an oak and was getting treated terrible (also possible) or something in between (likely it). But there is no way for them to address that and they shouldn't. 

They have already said everything they plan to do about more accurate content in the "What do we do now" video.

So the only thing remaining that I would like them to address is to repeat so everyone can hear that:

 

1) there's proof that they did try to straighten things out with Billet before Steve's video (but Colton goofed - no big deal on its own)

2) Linus's original response is largely justified if Colton told him that he thought he emailed them

3) (as a big fan of Steve it pains me to say this but) if Steve doesn't come back and retract his implications of deception on Linus's part (that they had already tried to smooth things out with Billet) then Steve is failing by a journalistic standard (and is a hypocrite at that) if he doesn't come back and say A) "okay clearly Linus wasn't trying to lie" and B) "they did try to contact them" and C) "if I had known this I would have never made the second video" and D) "this would have been a benefit of talking to Linus/LTT before hand". 

 

Everything else Steve has said against them is legit. If people see LTT (currently at least) as a source as accurate as GN or HU, then they need to get their eyes examined. And LTT should try to improve this due to the impact it has on people's jobs. But no one is perfect. I think they do a great job at making a bunch of data entertaining without making even more mistakes than they do. It's super impressive. If it wasn't, GN and HU and J2C and everyone else would be doing it just as good as them. They are the GOAT of that. Period.

it depends on:

- how much "DLL" values the streak

- wether they consider it "video production"

- what they feel they can talk about in the current situation.

 

i sort of hope that there *is* a wan show, and they use it as a sort of "update for the community" to talk about the announced changes and their progress. given the WAN show audience is used to burning several hours on watching WAN show anyways, it could be the right place/right time to expand on things.

Joking aside, I don’t envy being in this position. It wouldn’t surprise me if they skipped this week. There isn’t really a good hand here.

 

You can:

• Have the show as is because you’ve already put out the statements you could so far and be lambasted for “sweeping everything under the rug,” 
• Have the show with updated remarks and be called out for cherry picking issues (absolutely no chance they talk about Madison),
• Have the show with the new CEO present for damage control and be perceived as trying to exonerate Linus,
• Have the show without Linus at all and be chastised for letting him go into hiding, or
• Cancel the show and also be chastised for collectively going into hiding.

I expect there to be a WAN show with a rotating cast of the leadership of LMG talking about where they’re at more than a news show.

My thoughts exactly. It would be perfect, and maybe prior to these controversies it would be better received.

I can’t believe they’re going ahead with it. I mean, I can, but this is going to be a dumpster fire, literally no matter what they do. Even if they spend the first hour making the biggest, best apology you ever saw, people will still rock up halfway through and dog on them.

I genuinely hope that they are going to pause the WAN show for a week. 

I think any form of communication opens Linus and LMG up to more backlash, and seeing as the WAN show is the #1 place where Linus sticks his foot in his mouth I think the smart thing would be to cancel it for a week.
