Why I switched to Opera and why you should too

Ive been a real google chrome guy but now i relize, it isnt that good.

I switeched because I wanted to try somthjing new. Ram usage wasnt really an issue for me, but more on that later.

Opera had all the funtionality of chrome, but faster and doesnt use as much ram. Here is a shot showing the differeance. Both have 1 tab open, opera this this thing im typing now, chrome the stock open up page.

Its great for people with low ram, or for people who want to save theirs for other uses.

THe onlythjing its missing is a private mode, but thats fine.

The conclusion is, get it.

ram isnt a problem for me, im too lazy to adapt to another browser, id not use opera anyways, id go back to firefox

and then opera freaks out on you and you change it back to chrome, that was my experience with it.

Ram usage wasnt really an issue for me, but more on that later." you jump to the RAM issue and you did ONLY the ram thing.. so unless you have ram issues there is NO reason to go Opera, and considering opera dont have any of the Google+ and other google connections that are quite awesome a lot of the time.. there is NO reason to not use Chrome unless you are low on ram...

I use both Opera and Chrome. Been using Opera a lot more lately. 

- Fresher than a fruit salad.

I tried it a few years ago. I found it to be too slow and there where annoying quirks. I don't know what it is like now but I cannot be bothered to try and setup a new browser when I have everything how I like it with chrome

I also watch all my sketchy youtube videos and league videos if I watch any in incognito so youtube doesn't fill up with rows and rows of shit I don't want to see because I looked up a single video.

Why. Taylor Swift is hot and sings okay. Not that I understand using incognito at all.

Typing in "Black screen when launching...." and then getting every game I've searched for pop up is annoying. Or program errors, or coding queries. 

Or to just keep hidden my stupid questions. I don't like the idea of having some huge log of my stupidity, where I forgot some basic fact.

 

I'll stick with chrome for now.

I like the sync, and how intergrated that sync is with my android phone/tablet.

Being able to have all my tabs/bookmarks instantly saves so much time. And all my extensions in chrome, finding new ones would be a pain.

I use Firefox and have Opera as my secondary browser because I don't like Chrome. But if you do like Chrome there is no point of using Opera over Chrome. Because it is Chrome, there is no difference. Well, except Chrome has more functionality.

 

That's my biggest problem with Opera. Ever since they've left Presto, it doesn't have an identity anymore. It's just a generic Chromium browser.

There used to be a promotion in Domino's Pizza over here where you would get free dessert if you visited the site for the first time. Use incognito and you visit the site for the first time... 15th time that week.

the syncing is why i switched from firefox to chrome a while back.
