I think I was around 16. First time I actually build a PC myself, until then I only bought PC's.

i was around 7 or 8 i think (i'm 16 now). my dad let me build his computer (with his help of course) i cant remember the specs but he still uses it to this day (how about that for future proofing haha just kidding) but i might edit this post with the specs but i know for sure it has an amd athlon 64 x2 ........yeah that bad boy ;)

For a complete build, I just turned 20, back when the AMD Thunderbird CPU's first came out.  My first "aftermarket" PC component was a couple of years before that when I got 3DFX Voodoo 3 video card (and the PCI version too, not the AGP).

 

Damn these threads and making me feeling old!  :P
