Age when you got your first PC

The first time I modded a PC (slapping a new GPU and PSU into it) was when I was 17.. I haven't built a complete rig yet, but I will soon (if I can get this new job and find an apartment,, and enough spare time to game)..

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

I was twenty-three years old. I had been teaching English in Ho Chi Minh City for two years before returning to the United States in early June of 2011. For my two years in Vietnam, I had been using a desktop replacement laptop and had all but forgotten about the desktop computer I had left behind. It was just a piece of junk Hewlett-Packard mini tower whose only notable feature was its Q6600 processor. I decided to clean the thing out of any dust that might have accumulated. Since it was a piece of junk anyway, I didn't feel too nervous about disassembling it, despite never having done so before. What I discovered, however, was that, while I had no difficulty disassembling it, there was so little room to work that I couldn't even put the machine back together. I went to Micro Center to buy a huge (overkill) full tower so I'd have plenty of space. That was the beginning of a new hobby for me and I haven't stopped upgrading since (nothing remains of the original Hewlett-Packard components).

I have built computers since I was 10, but I built the first one for myself when I was 11 or 12.

Its a Core 2 duo E8400, 4gb Ram, 500gb HDD, 19 inch Dell monitor.

It still runs, and thats what my dad uses now. Might make it a home server in the near future :)
