Age when you got your first PC

21. Pentium 4 3Ghrz hyperthreaded, Geforce 6800 128MB vanilla. Had no idea what motherboard standoffs were. Lucky I did'nt fry the thing the whole time it was up and running, which was about 3 years. Replaced it with an Athlon X2 4600(?) system with Geforce 6800 GT(?) 256MB. Dont worry, i used the standoffs this time!

I was about 15 when I build my first PC (2015). My cousin who is a year older than me helped me with it. It was a stupidly expensive PC with water cooling. But at least I used the water cooling system to cool my cpu's until only a week ago where my second pump broke and I decided to remove the water cooling system and buy an air cpu cooler instead.

10ish, built a 2 server machines out of old desktop parts my school was going to throw away. Used the servers as folding rigs for the school (Fun little project for my "technologically superior" group to get behind) until the CPUs died on us and the school lost interest in helping.

I have been a computer fan for quite a while, but I only really got into it when the PS4/Xbox1 was announced. Went to build a real gaming machine and been hooked ever since.

16. I don't remember the processor as I didn't give much care about it, but it had a 6870 and never ran well, but I loved it.

First built one when I was 14 or 15... can't quite remember though. It's been a bit now but that original computer has gone through a couple overhauls. Originally was a 680i build with a C2D e6750 and a 8800 GTS. Just watched a bunch of youtube videos... convinced myself I could do it and dropped all my savings on it. Thankfully it all worked out.

Hmm... idk maybe 10, 11, 12 years old? All I know is I wanted wifi and fast internet so I made my dad buy a router and I set it all up myself and such. We still had DSL 2 megabits or something back then so it must have been really long ago. In 6th grade my mom's boss had me setup her internet. During that time she gave me her old broken computer and I took it apart and rebuilt it. So I guess around then.

I graduated high school in 2004 and the first computers I used was either in kindergarten or first grade. The computer lab had Apple somethings that used 8" floppy disks. The first PC we had in our house was I think a Compaq, sometime when I was in 3rd grade. It ran Windows 3.1 and I would spend hours going through the file system and everything else I could, trying to figure out how it all worked.

Not too long ago...I would probably say at the age of 13 I got really interested in computers so I took apart my laptop I had at the time (cheap $250 HP laptop).

I broke it lol.

Now I actually don't suck at screwing around with computers. I've taken apart, cleaned out, and put back together like 3 old desktops now.
