Is 12 mbps enough for fast torrent, movies and Iso downloading?

most propably ISP Throlling right?

Not necessarily.

Evening to late night are peak usage hours, when most people are at home and consuming lots of online content. At very early morning hours, not many people are awake, so consumption is less.

While cellular data providers can offer you internet packages, they rarely can guarantee speeds since the maximum bandwidth is dependent on how busy the network is. And cellular networks are already very busy!

What 4G/5G ISP's have been doing is offering an "unmetered connection" but they throttle at certain bandwidth caps or time-of-day.

Basically because 4G/5G are WCDMA technology works by "everyone speaking at the same time, but a different code", when there are more people speaking, more power is required to maintain that bandwidth, as a consequence it's impossible to "throttle" a connection like you would a cable/fiber/dsl connection where you just adjust the profile on the DSLAM or something. For wireless, what they do is (AFAIK) is disable the number of codes the subscriber can speak, thus resulting in like a 0.5 to 0.8mbps bandwidth. Enough for a voice call, but not enough for video.

Ahh, so they reduce amounts of users for faster internet those who using 4g lte on there mobile phones 🙂 but we 4g lte wireless routers we eat it the 0.8 mbps 😞

Otherwise this! 🙂 more devices can be connected/higher speed but price little higher! 🙂 next time when i get an connection i should always look for certain speed 🙂 otherwise ill be throlled like 4g did to me! 🙂

12mbps is only 1.5 MB/s, I wouldn't recommend it. Although, that much money for 100mbps is expensive, we get 1Gbps for less than that...

12Mbps is very very slow,

For 389 AED you can get the 250 Mbps "Unlimited Starter" pack:

Personally, I couldn’t live with under 60 simply because I stream 4k hdr and don’t want any service to see a dip in speed and start reducing quality. But… that is not something all people “need”. I have 500 mbps and wished I had more, but I also can’t exactly complain.

I do all of that with less than 1Mbps so yeah. Minus the fast part of course.

The difference between $360 and $300 isn't that big for such an increase in speed. But read everything on the ToS before paying, "unlimited" isn't always literal, might be unlimited for certain sites, just shady things ISP do.

Also what happens after the 24 months commitment? might look into that as well.

I think u renew it again 🙂

If you don’t stream much content, or stream in 720p or low bitrate 1080p, it’ll be fine. “Fast torrenting” I suppose depends on your definition of fast.

Well if you have 12mbps now and it is enough… then your fine. If it’s not, then your not fine.

12 mbps can support 2 1080p YouTube streams at once, but not really anything else while your streaming. If that is enough, then your good 🙂

Its better to go for 100 mpbs because as far as im concerned they will reduce the speed with fair usage to 50 mpbs instead 1 mpbs of 12 mpbs

100 Mbps is an OK speed but you will get more for your money with the 250 Mbps plan.
