Temps of 5600x reaches 85 degrees when rendering using Noctua NH U12s

So I had my computer built for me and I'm not quite sure if there's a problem with the attachment of the heatsink to the CPU or is it normal for it to reach such temps? I have PBO enabled, and my ambient temps are usually at 26-30 degrees. When rendering or running cbr it usually hovers at around 80-85 degrees, when gaming however it usually stays at around 70ish.

 

My Specs are:
5600x (PBO: I forgot the exact numbers but I think -15 -15 -13 -13 -12 -10 on curve optimizer, +200mhz offset and limits set to motherboard)

NH U12s
X570 TUF Wifi

3200mhz GSkill Ripjaws 8gb x2
6900XT

850W Seasonic Plus Gold

Monitor frequency to see how well the cooling performance is. PBO will keep it at 75-85C under full load, adjusting frequency and voltage to maintain the temp target. If the frequency looks good, the cooling is good

When rendering it hovers around an average of 4.47 to 4.5ghz, is this fine for the temps I'm seeing?

Depends on the particular software. It may be at 100% load, but there are varying degrees of 100% load (Cinebench R23 I'd expect 4.5-4.7, prime95 I'd expect 3.8-4.0)

My Ryzen 5 3600 reaches 86c when using cinebench stress test with a FX-8370 cooler, not that unusual?

Ah my bad I forgot to say that its on cbr20 and cbr23, I never hit 4.6ghz all cores on any software though

That looks like a pretty normal temp for your system. Depending on ambient temps. I would not worry about this.

I have seen it where if the pbo limits aren't set properly (too high or too low) it will clock lower in different tests. I'd be surprised if your chip won't do 4.6 all core, my 5900x does 4.6 all core in R23 with stock pbo (albeit on a custom loop), and that chip clocks lower all core than the 5600x since it's got more cores and more heat.

Ah I'll try tweaking this then, I'll update if I manage to improve its performance, Thanks!

That's certainly going to bring your maximum clock down a bit, people tend to test at 21C ambient.

So an update, I really make it boost up more than 4.5ghz all cores with all the tweaking I've done. Kinda lost on what to do now. It might be that my cooler is really not sufficient for it to boost more than 4.5

Possibly, plus 32C ambient doesn't really help that much. Realistically, you're not gonna notice a 100MHz difference, so it doesn't really matter that much. It would probably annoy me, but half the reason I'm running high end hardware is because I like seeing Cinebench go brrr so take that for what you will.
