I love my Asus VH236H. Its a 23.6 Inch monitor. The colour quality is great, and has a 2 MS response time which is great for gaming. The only downside is the reflective bezel but if you can get over that, its a great monitor for the price!

Hmm Personally im going for the Asus VE247H Black 23.6" monitor

(here is a link to newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236112)

This monitor is cheap, comes with all the stuff you could possibly need (as far as cables go) and has an amazing video quality. The 2ms response time makes it awesome for gaming and the size just seems to fit me, i am currently runing triple monitors (all the Asus VE247H) and they are so worth the money!

Below $200 is a bit tough for a 23/24" monitor, you'll find some but I don't think they will all be that great performance wise. You really do get what you pay for when it comes to monitors.

I've got three Asus VE247H 24" monitors. They're pretty damn good for gaming.

The Dell U2312HM. A great IPS panel with pivot and a USB hub integrated. DP, DVI and VGA. It has some pretty sweet colours.

Isn't that $300?

I've got the ASUS VH238H (basically an LED-backlit VH236H).  It's pretty nice and can be found for well under $200.
