Well guys im of to work until after new years -.-" so I'll go ahead a say happy new years to all and i hope my senpai's will take care of me next year lol 

 

Also If @MyInnerFred and the rest of you guys dont mind i'd like to finally join the anime club since its gonna be a new year and all.

Anyway piece out until i get off work later on. May sneak on around 12 at work lol

It would be rude not to accept new person in to a club. But since we already know you... Well, I mean.. we don't really want you here.  /jk(don't kill me)

I`m curently using only one fan - Noiseblocker 140mm NB-BlackSilentPRO PK-3 - 1700rpm set on 860rpm over the Noctua.

 

pp. And yes, this is because I haven`t turn the heater this night, so the delta room temp is around 10*C xD. Outside is something like -7*C.

 No, but it`s close. :lol:

When winter decide to be serious it`ll get low as -26*C. But last few years I rarely see it drop below -16*C.

You should see how is in the summer. Here is a hint >

To manage the f*n heat I got in addition to the noiseblocker one Noctua 120mm NF-F12 PWM + 2x140mm Fractals and one 120mm. fractal.

So... 2015 is over, it was a meh year, both in terms of released anime and life in general. I hope that 2016 will be better.

 

Didn't quite expect to have to light up some fireworks... All other lighters were done for, sans a 20+ year-old Zippo, and family couldn't light a fuse in small wind. It doesn't quite feel as joyful to get to a new year anymore, the only reason I enjoy fireworks is because of possible slight pyromania :lol:

It's funny that I can't even buy  matchsticks... ( you need to show your ID in order to buy them if the cashier doubts your age) <_<

Because Finland doesn't want young pyromaniacs is the reason. 

Well I guess someone else needs to buy them if we are going to use our fireplace ;)

I finally decided to watch the Madoka movies, it was fun, although i felt like the first movie skipped a few important bits, and there's hope for more Madoka in the future since the third movie had an almost open ending.

If it works, don't fix it. Besides, it's my deceased father's own, so my family kind of demands me to keep it, either as a trinket or actually use it, and since it works... Why not use it?

Dunno where you live... our cashiers don't care. I'm 18, don't really look like it, and didn't have to show my ID when buying matches.

 

(You can also circumvent that by buying online. They say that they aren't allowed to sell for under 18 year-olds for legal reasons, but they don't check. At least Varusteleka doesn't check, that's what I'm aware of)

I don't think there is a law here but I have had people refuse to sell my lighters / lighter fluid when I was under 18 but I have also had people sell me a zippo clone and say that couldn't sell me lighter fluid for it lol

My gpu right now at full tilt is saying 52c. It could probably run a little cooler. Its probably ~20c at the intake.

Well, I figure it's time to at least give my overall thoughts on the few series I've already finished from the past season, since I don't know if I'll have time to marathon the rest for at least a couple of days. I also ended up re-watching Inferno Cop, though that wasn't my initial intent.

Inferno Cop. decent.

Inferno Cop is kinda fun, even knowing that it's engineered to be shitty rather than legitimately "so bad it's good". If you can warp your brain just right, like with Teekyuu and other gag manga style anime, then you'll find it's got more than enough off-beat comedy to justify a 40-minute watch, if you're into pseudo-meta "look at how lame we are!" and "look how badass our MC is too!" humor. Studio Trigger had a solid idea here that you'd think could end up starting a franchise or something, but given that I had initially set out to watch their next such short, Ninja Slayer, only to end up re-watching Inferno Cop, it's likely that this concept was unfortunately just lightning in a bottle.

Teekyuu 6. decent.

Teekyuu contiues on doing more of its hyperactive delivery of standard dumb anime jokes told so quickly they almost bleed together, until its two minutes are up. At this point you're either aboard the Teekyuu bullet train so you don't have to bore yourself with slower lame anime comedies, or you're wishing your time investment watching those slower lame ones felt more fulfilling.

Concrete Revolutio. good.

Ah, finally an anime for those of us with an experienced eye who have been lamenting how unengaging anime seem to be getting. Take all the iconic superhero ideas from the East and West from the past century, and mash them together into a character drama that's both thematically rich, and an interesting puzzle to work out. That's not to say that it's a deep puzzle, just that it's aware of how well-trodden and cliched all of its pieces are, and so it tries to weave them together in interesting and relatively clever ways. In other words, this isn't entry-level stuff; if you're not familiar with what they're referencing, don't otherwise like stories that jump around, or dislike it when a narrative doesn't tell you how to feel, then this will merely seem like a jumbled, pretentious mess. But what it does do is involve its target audience in a "web of intrigue" type of story we don't get often in anime. It's the kind of anime which no one appreciates in its season while it airs, and is eclipsed by other mainstream series, but then mysteriously in 5-10 years it's the only one people are still talking about.

One Punch Man. decent.

This is the quintessential decent mainstream anime. It has a couple of good ideas, but doesn't capitalize on them, instead trying to cover for its faults to some degree with "something else" - in this case, some nicely-animated (but ultimately hollow and detached) fight scenes. Said animation is really the chief draw for the series, and was almost good enough in places to bump it up to a "good" rating... but they lacked any real substance or emotional connection, so good luck remembering any of them. Otherwise, the series is seriously one-note, making even Dragonball Z feel like it's full of ideas. The character of Saitama and his dynamic with a few characters make for the skeleton of a much better story, but it wasn't told here and this cour didn't exactly leave me breathless to come back for more (even for the animation). Ultimately One Punch Man simply doesn't live up to its enormous hype. It's a decent series that I enjoyed, but essentially as a lovingly-crafted animation demo reel. Other superhero anime have simply done a lot more with a lot less, including one that aired in the very same season. Maybe One Punch man will improve when the second season rolls around, but it hasn't shown much desire to do so.
