Helping said something about me being able to find a use for something. I'm lost.

It is in this company.

@Vitalius My issue with it now is interaction, but I'm sure there'll be a solution eventually. I just can't imagine using just your fingers or something to control it. Thoughts either.

So you'd have to have a virtual console or something to manipulate the desktops/what you see anyway.

I mean it would still behave like an oculus, just showing a desktop. Move your head to pan, eyepball to point, some arbitrary doodad to click/scroll w/e, leopards for text.

 

This works because it doesn't make sense for your mouse to be where you're not looking anyway. Since your eyes are attached to your head, that actually solves one of the issues of losing your mouse among monitors.

Well. That didn't go how I hoped. 

Reading Reddit. > Wandered into /r/WTF from /r/all. > Clicked a link labled NSFL (Not Safe For Life)

Bad choices were made. If you don't want to hear about what I saw, just skip to helping's quote.

The /r/WTF post was about a guy inflating a car tire (he was sitting on it/holding it) and it exploded. He shot up like 3-5 feet in the air. I imagine he was very bruised afterwards, but I'd figure a concussion at worst.

Then I go further down. Kid kicked a bus tire. It exploded. Kid doesn't have leg anymore. D: I'm queasy. Don't go looking for it if you can't handle real life gore.

CoD 4? Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. People still play that on the pc. I love that game.

my steam says DubbaU has it but that noob only plays black ops

I know another dude that has it but doesn't play because "i'm bad and get buttraped everytime"

I think I figured out why I am so salty. School is not my strong point. This past summer semester, mind you its 5 Weeks, I have repeatibly barely passed all my exam. It's like getting sucker punched, getting back up and expecting the bully to hug you. Hell nah. He sucker punches you again.

Also that sounds like my time in high school: grades are not great, from around average to near-failures (and Swedish being an automatic failure).

 

Also, damn, a month has passed this quick? I've been on a summer holiday ever since 31st of May, still got over a month of holiday left... :/

Honestly? It's awesome. 144Hz is only useful for gaming. I can't think of a single other thing that would use that. 

Ultrawide can be split into two 4:3 monitors, which most websites fit perfectly.

I mean, people can have whatever they want, but if Ultrawide is only useful in 10% of computer usage, then I'd say 144Hz is useful in less than that. Unless all you do is game. 

I'm a power user, so it's very useful for me. 

Can confirm, 4:3 fits most websites well. I'm using a 5:4 monitor, fits just nicely.

 

 

Movies are shot in 21:9, so no black borders. 

Anime is in 4:3 I think.... Not sure though. I can watch two beside each other if I wanted. I don't though. 

I don't know what have you been smoking... 4:3 video content is usually from early 2000s or earlier, and widescreen (16:9) completely took over well before 2010. So why would anime be in 4:3 aspect ratio anymore? It would make 0 sense.

 

 

Also, the posts here come way too fast. When I was writing this, 20+ new posts were made...

well, i'm probably not using the right word

boats, cars, and airplanes are for the most part linear motion and acceleration

 

that contraption on the other hand goes in any whatever direction and does so suddenly

I don't get motion sickness, but I think I probably would in that because

 

I can't imagine the experience is all that great because you have absolutely zero horizontal inertial sitting in a chair lol

I get easily motion sickness in car. I can't watch from tablet or read anything at all <_<

I just have two options which are 1) Sleep 2) Stare outside the car window  :ph34r:
