Alder Lake and DDR5 are too new for sales. DDR5, GPUs and some other parts are in too high of demand to be on sale. I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems. I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post. Black Friday used to be amazing for PC. I still remember $200 R9 290 for BF back when they were only like a 15% drop from flagship performance. You can still grab killer deals from time to time though; I got almost $100 off my PSU this year, and it's nice seeing 1TB SSDs drop well below the $100 mark. Just get one of the cheaper drives. I picked up a...720/750 (can't recall the number) 500GB for $50 Canadian. 1TB wasn't much more than $100 Canadian. Posted November 29, 2021 In my opinion, with a few exceptions, BF only serves for stores to sell off unwanted inventory. If you pay attention, it is only old stuff / last years model TV, last years' smartwatch, etc. etc. that goes on a deep discount.
 In it's current iteration (with note that we're evolving towards a more month-long sales capture), the Black part translates, quite literally, to retailers making it out of the red zone. Sales on outgoing models, old new stock that didn't sell as expected are the first to hit the chopping block to meet that transition into positive revenue. For retailers that generally operate in the black as a whole, it's purely a day to move old stock to make room for incoming products. They may also have special "editions" of popular selling items (with stripped down features, lowering cost, and subsequent retail price for the illusion of a good deal) specifically built for Black Friday "deals". It's commonplace with TV's, or at least it was last time I was looking, which admittedly has been about a decade ago. Black Friday has a couple of distinct different meanings throughout history, but it's current iteration is, generally speaking, to move old stock. ~Remember to quote posts to continue support on your thread~ -Don't be this kind of person- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x | RAM: 2x16GB Crucial Ripjaws Z | Cooling: XSPC/EK/Bitspower loop | MOBO: Gigabyte x570 Aorus Master | PSU: Seasonic Prime 750 Titanium SSD: 250GB Samsung 980 PRO (OS) | 1TB Crucial MX500| 2TB Crucial P2 | Case: Phanteks Evolv X | GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 (with EK Block) | HDD: 1x Seagate Barracuda 2TB
