Just so i dont shoot myself in the foot now, is A-RGB compatible with RGB connectors? (Corsair's RGB LED HUB)

MultiGamerClub

I just remember that i actually have a ARGB controller.. That i got from my MasterLiquid 360R cooler.. Will see if i can use that with the commander pro or i just have them seperate, remember that all the cable splitters was a nightmare.

that 4.5 amps is total so if you do end up adding argb to it you need to account for that too

4,5amps = 12v + 3,5amps for 5v(ARGB)

The commander pro doesnt have 3 A-RGB ports into it sadly outside going adapters.

Found my CoolerMaster ARGB Controller just now so will just use that and make the fans be controlled by the Commander Pro.

Thanks.. but reading "use a second commander pro" if it draws more than 4.5A on one Commander pro 😐

Or as i understand it from that thread.

Im not even sure if the 9 fans im supposed to use can draw beyond that..

So one uses this:

0.11 A / 12 V

Im thinking of connecting them so 3 fans goes all in one cable.. So 0.33A, and i have 3 packs of these fans.. So at 0.99A 😐

I should be good when it comes to the power draw?
Power/spec from here in General Data:

Or am i missing something? Thanks for the thread above too 🙂

In terms of power, the Commander Pro has plenty of it. In theory I couldn't imagine PWM splitters being an issue, it's just the vague wording in that thread that makes me wary of actually recommending it.

Yes you would need to buy or make adapters for cmd pro to 3pin rgb. easy easy
or go the CM controller route

ya to make custom cables on the cheap is to use a 4pin DuPont or a combo of that (i think it fits the pins in the commander i have not testes this thow...) and buy some 2+1 argb connectors and wire em up. yes that's 4pin argb but you can still hook 3pin argb to it too.

or you can buy the cable that connects to an cd rom drive to the mb/ sound card for audio its a 4pin 3wire connector that fits in the commander controller hub. might need to move a wire thow

if you want to buy pre made adapters there are some of thows too but kinda costly imo

and if you wand full control of the non corsair device plunged in to the corsair controller then this clames it can do that. still costly thow

Corsair RGB is fully Corsair's own thing, other RGB fans and stuff don't work with their controllers. The Commander Pro has 6 PWM headers and officially they don't support splitters, but I can't say I've ever tried one on a Commander Pro.

i didnt know that corsairs rgb was its own thing tbh

Corsair uses ARGB with connectors that no1 else uses + they have profiles and patterns specific for their fans

if u connect 3rd party fans to the Cmd Pro or Node, in Icue its best to tell them that u connected 6 RGB strips

I'll have to see about this, iCUE with commander Pro isn't detecting my commander Pro now but the colors still work.. Kinda wonk 🤔

After I plugged the USB header from the Commander Pro.. The fans are spinning rapid then slowing down and then rapid again.. Even restarted my PC..

Not sure the usb header was such a good idea. Now the middle bottom fan doesn't even spin 🙃

There are no fan profiles. Only quiet, balanced and extreme.

I can't choose fan curves with third party fans it seems 😐

i almost only had 3rd party fans on custom profiles with icue. icue cannot know what fan is connected.

Also found out there was a loose cable blocking bottom middle fan.. Thought the Commander Pro couldn't give it enough electricity but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Will try again to enter icue and lower the rpm on the fans because last minute they just stopped... All fans in the pc stopped.. Now to see if it's possible to set a better curve on the fans 😕

I'm not sure how it applies the curves fan profiles? Seeing as my fans keep spinning to 1700 rpm and going back down to 1100 rpm..

Set the temperature source from the graphics card, is that the best case or should i let the top-aio 360mm rad source from the cpu?

Also my GPUs fans seems to have stopped, but im guessing its not doing any heavy tasks.

Currently set the fan curves to spin at minimum 1000 RPM and made the 120's at the top thats on the radiator read temps from the cpu.
