HOW TO COMPARE TWO COMPUTERS?

3DMark is probably your best bet. It is the most directly relevant to overall system performance in gaming applications. You could also run Heaven if you don't want to pay for 3DMark.

 

Otherwise, it's just a bunch of individual benchmarks, like Cinebench for the CPU, FurMark for the GPU, etc.

So, I just got my first PC and I want to show my sibling how much faster this PC is compared to my old laptop. Can anyone please suggest any software which can show visual difference in the CPU and GPU performance. I do not want to use any benchmarking software which just displays number in the end. renderTimingPixel.png

Play the same game on both machines at the same time, using the same resolution and detail settings. Run an FPS monitor like Afterburner to show him the difference both with his eyes and with a numerical figure.

 

Edit: Or do the same thing with Cinebench so he can see the difference in render times.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

3D Mark has a free option, but is limited.  But the basic tests are all there. (No stress tests or a number of other features tho)

If he's not into tech stuff then just show the numbers and say this is why and explain what the numbers mean. Doing a side by side test can sometimes be a PITA and unless the old one is stuttering while running something more FPS isnt easily noticeable.

 

I can run doom at 60 FPS or 250 FPS and it looks the damn same to me.
