I think you'll like it. Without spoilers, it's arguably the most mature game of the lineup in terms of story, not just gameplay.

Well, it doesn't really have them all, as there are plenty of PlayStation exclusives that aren't on PC and likely never will be. That and the PC has its own problems, like cheating and technical headaches. That's not to say the PC doesn't have advantages, just that many console gamers aren't in a rush to switch platforms.

That being said, I'm pretty much done with ND. UC4 was fine, not great, and their games all fall strictly into the "Look pretty but don't play that well" camp. Not to mention their internal and external politics. Really wish I could buy a GPU right now though, I'd like to get HZD (again) and Death Stranding. Maybe GOW if it eve hits PC, but I'm not convinced I'd like to replay that.

P5 is Sega, it's not technically a Sony exclusive, it's just the only console they made it for. Sega has already announced they're going to try to port their entire lineup to PC. Though I think I heard there's a new Yakuza game coming out that isn't slated for steam, so who knows.

They did bring Disaster Report 4 however, which is the worse of the two.

 

City aka Koei Toshi is a masterpiece however.

Yeah, 3 years I think the time it took to come to PC (the game was released in 2017)

I mean, there's cases of poorly developed/maintained games, but in my experience it's a big enough obstacle to use hacks on console that most games just have glitches/exploits to worry about.

 

Anyways as someone who just had to plug their PS3 back in just to finish a sony exclusive that wasn't even remastered for ps4, it'd be REALLY nice to be able to just cop older titles on PC for sale and get some shaders/upscaled textures (and depending on the game use a mouse and keyboard instead of controller).

 

I hope the games industry becomes even more cross platform. Good trend.

They're not immune, but it's not nearly as commonplace. I certainly haven't had to deal with hackers ruining my Destiny 2 matches on console!

I mean it is more difficult yeah, and that does give consoles some advantages in that respect, I was just saying its there and depending on the game its rampant too, fighting games for example , but its really not necessarily depending on the genre, just an example. And, in my experience its harder to tell, which is also subjective experience, but ive often pointed that out to other players and they were like "I didnt notice anything!" lol.  And *that* wasnt subjective, often the cheaters werent even subtle about it once confronted with the "accusation"…  "its just a game, bro lul"  basically.

 

Especially PS3 was extremely bad because the console was fully hacked and Sony wasnt particularly good at doing anything about it (which reasons include a weird story about leaked "security keys" and people  getting stuff for free from the store en mass lol)

Generally, I'd say this is a good thing. Exclusives have been hurting the industry for quite a long time, and it's quite exciting to see more great games be accessible. Can we expect a Spider-Man port soon?

I am fine with timed exclusivity only. The console owners have some incentive to buy a console in it's mid-end life cycle(as PCs offer a better experience than these consoles by that time at the price). However these games should be released on PC, as once the consoles get very old, the cost to play these games will go up drastically, as more of these consoles start dying(physically)

Horizon Zero Dawn came to PC, just a few years after release on PS4.

Same with this Uncharted game, which came out in 2016 (!).

 

I see this more as a move by Sony to:

- get some extra revenue from these older games.

- build a fanbase that might ultimately buy a Playstation to experience their games day 1.

- look good (or less bad), as Xbox is putting all their exclusives on PC.

 

I don't think Sony will ever put their exclusives on PC day 1. That is not where this is headed. Unless they really start feeling the heat from Xbox Gamepass.
