how can I put a rf lens on to a efm

hello. I was looking on the internet (lovely internet) for a new lens and came across canon rumor's. They are slowly zoning out the ef???!??!. Ok that wont effect me (Below that link)

They are zoning out eos m?!??! noooo.

That was me when I saw that and the only option was rf. so how do I put a rf on a efm. Or do I have to buy a rf cause thats expensive.

You can't, stick to EF lenses or get an RF body.

EF can go on EF-m or on RF
RF can only go onto RF

EF-m is only for EF-M

I wonder if you can stick an RF-to-EF adapter into an EF-to-EOSm adapter 😛

edit: im dumb, no RF-toED afaptors out there...

but I'd really doubt any more EF-M bodies

maybe another EF body in the low to midrange

thats why I want to switch over to a rf as fast as I can ( A 2-3 years) cause right now the m50 is 3 years old which is nothing but in 2-3 years its gonna be outdated with 1080p.

Just because they stop producing new EF or EOS-M lenses or bodies, doesn't change how they perform, so just get what you need. Don't reach for the RF ecosystem if you don't have the means to do it comfortably. Also at that point you should also give other brands some thought as you will be buying new bodies and lensses.

other than not buying in EF-M glass them stopping making them won't change anything. RF doesn't have enough lenses and doesn't have 3rd party support yet
I'd still buy EF glass

Second hand EOS Rp, anything else is probably way out of your budget for now.

There aren't many RF bodies at the moment anyway, so choose you pick:

Rp

R

Ra

R5

R6

I would recommend looking at the price tag first

Fair comment, although maybe if video was the focus maybe something out of Sony would be better at that price range.

the Panasonic S5 would be near the top, if you can deal with the not great AF. A7iii needs an update with better video options
