Tomb Raider any good?

I'm sure people have seen that TR is on sale (75% off) on steam. Was wondering if the gameplay was good (I've never played any of the TR series).

 

For reference, I enjoyed Far Cry 3 a good deal, so if it's similar in style do include that.

yes very good, and no its not much like far cry 3 at all

 

and it has nothing to do with the series before :P except its the same main person

Yeah, I really enjoyed it.TR and Bioshock Infinite were my favorite games from last year.

If you've played Uncharted, it's like a female version of that mostly.

I loved the gameplay more than the story personally. It's a friggin beautiful game though if you have the hardware to max it out. I definitely enjoyed the experience and still remember playing a lot of it from 5 months back. It's definitely worth 75% off.

 

One tip: please play with headphones. For the first 20 minutes of the game, my dad thought I was watching porn... :/

I enjoyed the new Tomb Raider, it played more like Uncharted than one of the past TR games.  I was able to trade for it cheap, someone on Tek Syndicate got it in the never settle bundle and I gifted them a game on Steam for their key.

Easily a 15+ hour game depending if you 100% your games. Well worth the price especially if it's on sale.

I ended up getting it, the consensus seems to be unanimous. Am doing work now, but hopefully I'll enjoy it later :)
