LTTstore.com order fullfilment question

Aluminumhaste

For those of you who've ordered stuff from the store, how long did you have to wait for the order to be fulfilled then shipped?

I find it bizarre that stuff ordered yesterday has not been touched yet.

What's been your experiences?

They had a logistics issue I believe, I think they tweeted about it and there is a forum post somewhere about it. It set them back a little bit. I wouldnt sweat it, they have been good in the past whenever I dealt with them

Huh, I'm subbed to their twitters, don't recall seeing that, but I might have tuned it out.

I find it kind of absurd you think it'll immediately be processed, as if you're the only person that's ordering from them..

The time you ordered also plays a part.

I'd imagine with the desk mat coming back out, they're a bit backed up right now. Patience.

Desk mat was a separate order for that very reason.

I find it absurd that you find it absurd that I expect 400$ worth of merchandise be shipped in a reasonable amount of time.

I guess if it's not actually shipped by tomorrow then I'll just cancel the order. If they're that backed up, a warning on their site at the POS would have stopped me from ordering it.

You don't like it that I'm impatient? Oh well.

Blame every other company I've dealt with that ships out within 1 business day or same day.

Did you tell them in the notes section that it was $400? Maybe they didn't see that and that's why they didn't drop everything to cater to you.

What companies? Youtube merch stores don’t typically have distribution centers across the globe. Hell the company I works for makes the vast majority of their money selling stuff online and we have one distribution center before handing off to FedEx (who execs have worked out agreements with for shipping stuff).

If you’re comparing LMG to a behemoth like Amazon, excuse me while I laugh.

Meh, it's an online store. Like I said, I'll give it another day, 4 business days with my money should be long enough to fulfill an order and get it out the door, if not they need to re-evaluate how they communicate with their paying customers.

Ah so major online retailer, major online retailer, pretty large online retailer, someone who's entire job is selling things online, and people shipping out a couple packages.

Aka none of these are organizations or people in a similar situation.

One-off stuff and merch stores often take a while to ship stuff, cope I guess.

Who cares how much you spent? Doesn't make you more important....and even then, if we go by that metric, you're still not first in line as you have to wait for anyone who bought a graphics card to have their orders shipped before yours 😉

Cancelling an order because you can't wait a few days is hilarious. You're the exact kind of customer I'd rather do without.

Soooo companies that are significantly larger, whose sole purpose is to sell things, eBay sellers who sell only a few items or stores which are like the first example, and individuals, who are selling one or two items at a time. All online stores are not the same. Not sure why you can't grasp that.

You also don't know what a business day is if you're considering a weekend day a business day, and the day you place the order generally doesn't count.

So....the deskmat which was purchased 1 day after, arrived today, while the other package is still a few days away......How does this make any sense?

EDIT: and I'm not sure why you consider a site like lttstore.com does not fall under the umbrella of " whose sole purpose is to sell things".

It's in the name lttstore.com, does lttstore.com do anything else but sell things?

You have to realize that LTT Store is just a small division of the LTT company. It's like a department inside a larger company. A small one at that.

They probably do need to invest more staff resources into it, but at the same time, it probably doesn't make them that much money either, so it's a balancing act.

All this annoyance could have been easily avoided with a simple "We're currently experiencing a larger than normal ordering volume, expect deliveries to be delayed by several days".

Or something along those lines.

Oh noes! You spent $400 on youtuber merch and it took a little over a week to arrive?! What is this 1990?!

Ridiculous. You should totally ask to be compensated since this stuff is definitely critical to ones everyday life.

Merch is actually a massive point of revenue for virtually every YouTuber/media company of that type. Hell, it makes them more than ads and YouTube revenue combined for some creators. LTT had a pie chart of their revenue sources in a video a few years back, merch was a significant portion of the pie, as per usual.

In 2020, merch made for 15% of their total revenue, a huge jump from 3% in 2016.

Deskmat might have had priority due to its popularity. You also ordered a single, popular item which may very well be easier to ship compared to your bulk order. We have become spoiled by the large companies dedicated to shipping like Amazon, eBay or other local equivalents offering their next day shipping, same day delivery etc. You cannot expect every store to have the resources to do that. It's impressive to me that even the big stores can still hold up to that most of the time with the COVID situation going on and huge increase in online orders.

Or something along those lines.

When you ordered, the checkout page will have told you "X-Y day delivery" as an estimate, which you agreed to when you placed your order. What did that say for you? For me (outside US/Canada) it told me 8-24 days and even for a Canadian address it told me 2-6 days. With those estimates expecting it to ship within 1 day is unrealistic. You should at least wait the maximum amount of days estimated at checkout.

Yeah, it said

Shipping method
2 - 6 Day Delivery

Took 12 days.

But I got it now, and the bottles are really really nice, we love them, use them all day, every day.

I do look like a Linus nut what with walking down the street with my LTT water bottle in White, and my LTT hoody.

Linus also mentioned recently on stream that the only reason they could afford VAG was because of all the revenue from lttstore.com, which sounds like it's an even bigger slice of their revenue this year.

I can see why too, so far the quality of the merch is top notch, the desk mat is super nice, way nicer then any other mouse mat I've ever had.
