Is PNY memory a trusted brand?

i was looking at there pny xlr8 16 gb kit (1600 mhz and CL 9) and i was wondering if i can trust buying it? if you have any experience with pny memory please leave your experiences

Pretty much all the bad RAM companies have been liquidated or consolidated. You're far more likely to pick a good brand in RAM than you are not.

im pretty sure the little rubber feet on the bottom of your case is the least important part...

you can run your computer without them and it will still work

not the case with ram tho

They help prevent your PSU from suffocating and then overheating, they can be quite important.

usually the case is elevated by metal/plastic extruded shapes, and the rubber feet are only a couple mm thick, just to prevent slipping/scratching from the real metal feet

also not all cases have the psu intake on the bottom

RAM has a RMA rate of like .2 percent. I believe it has the lowest RMA rate than all other computer parts (besides the case)

Usually that is correct, but I've built in a few cases where it wasn't (started as a system builder last week)

I actually had a bad experience with some PNY RAM. It was the gold heat spreader 1333Mhz cheaper stuff, and I got it from Best Buy, so take that for what you will, but I had 2 sticks fail on me within 2 months. I got lucky that I knew the manager and he let me exchange it for some corsair memory (in my sig). I'd never had trouble with PNY before, and had always sort of like them, but my confidence was shaken.

I never had PNY ram but ram is ram. If this makes you feel better, I have used PNY usb thumb drives and they work just fine to me.

that brand isnt being sold by any of the bigger computer stores in Sweden, only the small stupidly expensive places and even those dont have it in store right now, and have never looked for hardware outside of Sweden since we have all the big brands
