Saw a Linus ad literally 10mins after coming back on this forum

Ok so I was browsing the forum for the first time in a while and no later than about 10mins later, I went on youtube to listen to some music. First video I click on, Linus x Honey advert. Kinda freaked me out so I thought I would share it here. Google is spying on us!

You do realize it's common knowledge that Google uses your search history to influence your ads, right? If you don't like it, don't use their services.

Your data is collected by everything. Your phone will listen to your conversations to advertise. (Anacdotes from several reliable friends)

You can also use ublock and umatrix if you want to get rid of most of that kind of stuff

And the most obvious thing: don't use a g* account

Or just turn off Ad personalization, they still collect the data but you wont see the ads
