What do you personally call those PCIe power cables that split.

DeScruff

I was helping a friend install a new graphics card over a video call on discord, and it kinda hit me, I don't know what, or if there is a term for those PCIe that split at the end to a second plug.
You know the kind I'm talking about. Every PSU has them. They look ugly when you have a GPU that only uses 1 plug.

Do they even have a technical name?  What do you personally refer to them as?

Personally Ive called them "Hoop Doops" - I think I got that from a BitWit Kyle video a long time ago in a video giving tips to make your PC look better.

They're just dual 8 pin or dual 6+2 pin cables.

The more efficient GPU sag prevention method.

Make your PC boot with this one single trick!

Regarding the 6+2 connector, I've seen people calling it a piggy tail 8-pin

CRAP, junk, trash........ Yeah, that's what I call them...

Not all PSU's have them however, some come with the single connector cables.

If they are going to put that crap, garbage in the box they need to include single connector cables too.

I call them, "PCIe 6+2 pin connectors with a piggy-back" which is pretty long, but I think is clear.
