What is a good free app to text over wifi?

No ads on the free version too & the receiver doesn't need it to text back to it?

Oh okay. Google Voice then is the service that comes to mind. I know you can send a receive texts from that.

Only two I’ve heard of from those are whatsapp (which requires you to download its app) and wechat (never used only heard the name). Of the ones on the list, I would go for one of those two.

I just don't want it to replace my main SMS app, just wanting to wifi sms with it when Tracfone texts are gone.
