What is the most powerful game on pc (GPU stress-wise)

BigRecoiilz

I want to test out my GPU and I want to know what is the most graphics demanding game that I can test it on?

just try something like furmark or kombuster for gpu stress test, those are more stressing than any game really.

When playing Mordhau i actually get a much hotter GPU than furmark no matter what settings i use in furmark :D

Hey there. Not sure about the singular most graphics-intensive game out there, but here are a few; a couple have been used by LTT in their benchmark/testing videos:

  • Crysis 3
  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
  • Far Cry 5
  • Metro Exodus
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

If I’m singling out any game? Metro Exodus and Control are rough on the GPU, especially for the latter if you have an RTX card.

That being said, I guess it’s all in what you’re attempting to do. My idea of a stress test is pushing Team Fortress 2 or CSGO at 3840x2400 maxed out.

what about FC5 or SOTTR?

Never took a close look at them. I just noticed it in Morhau. Only noticed it because my OCs on CPU and GPU were completely stable in any game and app is use or play. Only Mordhau gets unstable as soon as i apply +5 MHz on GPU core clock. Idk what it is with this game.

I'd say pretty much every recently released game will max out any GPU when setting it to 4K with max quality settings. Even 2080 Ti's will be pegged at 100%. But for testing just temps i can easily recommend Mordhau, like i said ;D

DCS in VR is the only thing I can think of that uses 10Gb of my GTX 1080 Ti's memory. Apparently they're also doing a free flight week on the F-14 starting on the 19th... https://stormbirds.blog/2020/06/17/heatblur-making-dcs-f-14-and-ajs-37-free-for-almost-a-week/

I will warn you, there are more than fifty controls on that thing. Like *a lot* more.
