Rx 5700 xt Gigbyte Aorus MSI configuration

Hi All my GPU keep crashing while in game, I look at the GPU specification page and found that it's Core clock is set to 2010, when I look in MSI I found it 2100 ( I did no overclocking at all ) So my guess is that the card was shiped with wrong BIOS or something like that.

 

Can someone please provide me with the factory setting I should but in MSI for voltage, core clock, memory clock, ... etc.

different brands and models can come with different clock speeds, so you cannot compare stats like that

I compared the specs that me GPU offical page posted https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-R57XTAORUS-8GD/sp#sp

 

here it say it's supposed to be 2010 MHz where mine is 2100 MHz

I don't think I need ddu as I installed 4 different versions of windows and happend in the 4 times every time was a clean install of the GPU deviers

It depends on the pcb quality 

Temps and over all how the chip can handle it

Try driver 19.12.1 or 19.10.2

So in a techincal way if My GPU is 2100 MHz and the out of box specs are 2010 MHz it might crash because of that ( I didn't set it to 2100 but it should be like that according to the offical website maybe a faulty configuration or so )... 

 

PS. please tell me yes it's a shitty experince to RMA here

I will try that if the downclocking didn't work, most games work like shit with that driver and some don't open at all

Max temps are around 85~89

it doesn't hit 2100 but yeah it goes to up to 2050 and some times more, my wild unexperienced opinion that may be totally wrong but I'm to disperate to believe is that the momkent it hit 2100 or simething in that range it craches.

 

I used MSI to set it to 2010, but I don't know if I should temper with the voltage increase or not

dont touch voltages, lowering it may cause instability again while higher voltage can disappoint the temperature

 

and you could RMA the card

I'm trying to make the RMA option the last option, it's a shitty process here that mostly end in nothing useful

If you're open to BIOS flashing, you could try get the AMD reference BIOS in. That runs even lower clocks but also means you wont get exactly what you paid from

Keep a backup of the factory BIOS and just flash it back in when something else goes wrong? Every time the system boots up, the GPU will get pushed to max clocks so there's no real say when it will get so unstable at current BIOS settings that you cant even boot it up.

You could technically keep the original bios

And then if you want to rma it just flash it with the original one
