IMO, after CES, there is little to talk about. I've personally been bored with tech for these last few weeks. Not excited with 750 or Titan Black just yet.

The heck? People will post a topic asking for help and they will have 5 responses in under 3 minutes. How is that dead? If anything I feel we have been picking up steam.

Whenever I'm at work and checking on the forum and posting many times out of 10 only 2 respond until I go back home and then 9 out of 10 respond and next day morning the 1 left over responds.

Basically my point is that depending on the time you check the forum people may be busy at school or work and possibly could be asleep

I'd say there's a growing number of floaters like myself and linus included whom used to post an excess amount which now read a lot more then they talk. I find reading about opinions of things to be interesting and stopped posting my own as much. But as per activity i'd say alive and kicking, while definitely growing.

As when it comes to tech news it feels like the we're in a low tide at the moment but things should pick back up soon.

I kind of know what you mean. The General Discussion, Off-topic and at certain times even the News Section have been kind of slow. It's weird because there is more people online than ever.

 

I think people are getting very quick replies in the help and troubleshooting sections though and that's all that really matters. I think its just timing and the new warning system for posting in the wrong sections. Half the topics in these sections were usually incorrectly posted, that number seems to have fallen a lot recently.
