new buid First Build in 4ish Years. What should I change?

I already have plenty of storage (Nvme SSD and sata SSD) and an RTX 2070 from previous laptops and my EGPU.

I want a beefy CPU because that's currently my main bottleneck and I'd like to be able to build projects quickly for my job (Software engineer)

hyper 212 is just going to be a mild improvement over the stock cooler. For a cpu of that caliber, you probably want something much more beefy.

The memory is definitely overkill though.

What about the memory is overkill? I was under the impression that clock speed really mattered for the new AMD CPUs

Don't cheap out on the cooler. Hyper 212 is ok but like @Saksham said, it's barely an improvement over stock.

Maybe get something like a noctua nh-u12s Chromax instead if you just want a "small" heatsink or the NH-D15 Chromax for a beefy cooler that's on par if not better than most AIO.

 

Also while RAM is overkill, it's technically supported by both CPU and motherboard... Sooooo Yeah. It should work. While Ryzen does benefit from faster RAM, there's still diminishing return past a certain point.

personally I love my masterlite AIO cooler pretty cheap and good price to performance

I'd recommend the BeQuiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 or Noctua NH-D15 Chromax.

 

4400 MHz is above the point of diminishing returns. The sweet spot for Ryzen is 3600 MHz

Well it's not free. It's free as in I'm not budgeting it's cost into this build

You could go for an NH-U12S (or U14S) if you want air or a Corsair H100i Pro if you want water

I would get the Patriot Viper Steel 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) at 3733Mhz or 4000Mhz max, and then use the $60 or so dollars you save to purchase a Noctua NH-D15 CHROMAX Black (or the non-CHROMAX Black version if you don't mind the brown/white color scheme). The NH-D15 will trade punches with most AIOs in terms of cooling performance and will be equally quiet or quieter while having the added benefit of being very low maintenance.
