everything is overpriced and overkill - the cooler, the motherboard, the ram, the ssd, the psu. you could probably save $2000, but keeping the same performance

this is an extremely flashy build. As @boggy77 if you cut down on RGB and the Cooler you could save a good bit.

Hi, so I'm finally building my dream PC, and TBH I need the best performance in gaming whatever the price is, I'll be playing 2K 3440x1440 on ultra settings and willing to get +144FPS, this will be my first build so I don't know much about hardware but this is what I chose until now:

why are you starting a new thread, though? you had an active thread where people were giving you advice on the build. I've already posted my build there, so I won't do it again here, but you know I think your drives, ram and psu are overkill and overpriced.

You could have just carried on with the existing thread.

 

A Ryzen build is the way to go. At 3440 x 1440 Intel doesn't have the same performance lead as it would at lower resolutions.

 

The build below for example would save you a lot of money and you have a 12 core cpu. 

 

The LG Monitor is better value for money as well. You are not going to hit 200fps even with a 2080 ti at 3440 x 1440. The LG is also IPS and works fine with Nvidia gpu's.

The 9900K might be a bit faster depending on the game, but you are paying through the nose for it. A 3900X will last a lot longer before needing an upgrade, but you can still drop a 4000 series cpu into the Ryzen build anyway. With a Z390 build you have no upgrade path for the cpu so the 9900K is the best you can get.

 

If you do want Intel then you could just swap out the cpu and board in my build and still save money. The gigabyte one in your spec is a good choice for the 9900K.

 

The Pro wifi is a bit cheaper and still solid.

Do you plan to do anything other than game? For pure gaming there's no reason to spend more than about $2500 unless you want to do something crazy with full watercooling, etc. and even that is usually not that much.
