GTX 750 Ti, non-reference coolers

Lord Pantaloons

Obviously you are all aware that the 750 Ti launched today, I know that there will be quite a few topics about it in the coming days due to it's performance but I thought I would make a thread dedicated to discussing the various non-reference coolers that will be available for the 750 Ti. I'll post some pictures of what I've found so far and hopefully you all will do the same with any I missed.

Post your opinions and any other cards you happen to find, personally I think this is an awesome little GPU and it has some of the nicest looking aftermarket coolers I've seen in awhile. My favorites so far are the EVGA ACX, Colorful, and the Gainward GS.

Meh. There are better performing cards for the price, and im sure the $140 price tag will go up for these.

Asus and Gigabyte, as always, win by default in my book.

But to be honest, these coolers with all them heatpipes are not all that necessary for a 60 W TDP chip.

There aren't any other ones that don't need external power though.

Well, at least we can say that the cards will stay cool and with the extra 25 watts from a 6-pin (most of the non-reference cards should have one I hope), it'd be a nice overclocker. Also, loving the appearance of the EVGA card and I've noticed how the I/O plate is tinted or what not.

EVGA FTW, looks like they were the only company that actually put some effort to fitting the cooler and making it look good overall.

EVGA and colorful have the best looking IMO I would usually go with Gigabyte but the Windforce doesn't look so good on this model

EVGA has that single slot GT 640, I imagine they will pop a single slot 750/750ti out sometime soon.

$140? I paid $160 for my EVGA 650ti Boost SC 2GB card last year.. (Good overclocker though. 1215MHz on the core right now.)

Anyone want my card? $140. Comes with a 8800GTS for a PhysX card.

R7 265 maybe be faster than the GTX 750 Ti but how long will it stay at that 150$ price tag.

Yes I have their single slot 640 in the 4GB variety which is why I was hoping they would but so far everything that I have seen of even the 750 is giant heatsinks and many companies adding the PCI-E power hailing it for better OCing.

Im thinking the same thing. But if you buy mine you get a dead 8800 GTS since mine died a month or so ago. :P

Does the 265 require PCI-E power? Also I assume that its TDP is significantly higher.

Yeah, my dad used to have 2 8800GTS cards in SLI but they burned out so he bought a 660. I revived them by taking the heatsinks off and sticking them in the oven at 385F for about 8 minutes. They both work perfectly now. (I'm guessing I can get a year or two out of this one before needing to cook it again since I modified the heatsink and it runs cooler now.) Before I messed with the heatsink, with new thermal paste, the thing reached 230F under a stress test. No wonder it cooked itself.

Since Folding at Home isn't working for me right now I'm using it as a PhysX card. (The only PhysX game I own is Mafia 2..)

I really want the EVGA 750 Ti with the ACX cooler. I just need to wait until I can make money mowing lawns again or sell some of my stuff.

You could buy my 650 Ti BOOST 2GB SC and run SLI :D;):P

I don't think my card is SLI-able. No SLI fingers and it doesn't say on the specs page that I can SLI it. (I have the EVGA card)

I actually tried to Xfire two 7750s once but it simply would not work so I sold them and bought my 650ti.

Which exact card do you have because the 650 Ti BOOST can SLI. That would also be MB dependent.

Probably going to pick one up myself eventually to offload PhysX for my 780 GHz and to mine with it for the lulz, and of course have a new toy to play with for awhile.

Internally debating the MSI Gaming and EVGA FTW myself,

FTW has a 6 pin and probably better power delivery. "30% Improved Power"

Should come with Samsung for the crippling bus used
