Shed some light and reason fellas on which one and why.

I want to buy Stellaris, it's on a discount. Price is the same on steam and GOG, base and dlc's.

Steam is just easy, already have hundreds of games there.  I prefer GOG for subjective reasons but at the end of the day I have bigger things to worry about than DRM or exclusive this or that.

Gog mainly because I can buy older games that actually still work on windows 10 there as I'm not really interested in anything new. Steam is my second option for when they do sales and I see something I want.

Steam is my go to, granted I buy some steam keys from G2A.

I prefer steam thanks to it's Proton Support and Valves involvement with Linux.

I purchase on Steam primarily but like Nayr said its mostly G2A and AGame or whatever its called. But of course I always get my free games from Epic and I have the full library of the free games Origin offered at one time. Then I own Sims 3 and all its DLC and my fiance has the Sims 4 and all that DLC.

If functionality is the same, get it on GOG. They give you more options, you can usually download a standalone installer if you don't want to use the (excellent) GOG Galaxy 2.0 (which will also link with your Steam, Xbox, Uplay, EGS, Origin, and PSN accounts to sync around friends and let you launch games and often start the installers for other platforms too). It's especially helpful for any games with a large modding community, due to being DRM free. Lets you have multiple install folders if you are troubleshooting something, loading different mods into different installs, or just want to back up the game files so you can simply paste them back instead of going through the verify/redownload process if something mucks up.

mainly use steam. unless i am forced to use another launcher like uplay for siege or battle net for warzone. epic store is pretty bad and has a long way to go before ill consider using that as my main.

Steam > All.
Because i have the most games there, and features like Streaming for Friends, Cloud Saves etc.

objectively, GOG would be prefered because of DRM reasons.

Edit: is Friend Streaming possible on Gog (Galaxy 2.0)?

TS should've set the poll as multiple choices.

I voted for Steam, but to be clear, I don't buy games - I license them, just like everyone else does.

I have most of my legal games on steam, but I prefer buying on GOG when possible because it has no DRM and it pays the devs more iirc. also its always good to try to avoid the titan sometimes, even though its convenient to have it all on the same platform.

Ultra is stupid. ALWAYS.
