should i install noctua nh d15 before putting the mobo on the case or after?

im worried that the nh 15 is so massive that it can break the case or something while manipulating it to place it on the case, but at the same time, placing the cpu fan, termal paste etc, inside the case, is a pain in the ass

 

mobo is aorus pro x570

I find it easier to do it before, but you can do it either way. I've done both, doesn't really matter

 

How would it "break the case"?

i mean break the mobo

 

cause the nh 15 is a monster, so im paranoid it will bend and break as i handle the mobo to put it isnide the case

PCB is a lot more durable than you think it is

 

It's not like you're bending the board over your knee or anything

It will be fine, just hold it by the cooler, not by the actual PCB of the board.

Install before putting it in the case and you can hold the cooler as your place the motherboard in, this is perfectly safe and easiest.
