It's worth a try - don't listen to those people who just say Terraria is 2D Minecraft - it is so much more than that, especially now. There is so much to do. But yeah, Minecraft was also my thing. Posted January 16, 2020 Why not both? In Terraria, you have a "purpose" and relatively clear progression for everything. But you can also say fuck it all to the bosses and just build whatever you want... In Minecraft, it is you, the monsters and the infinite world filled with nothing to do other than using your imagination and maybe try to kill the two bosses... after which your world is done. Honestly, I like Terraria a lot, but Minecraft takes the win for me, simply because it's a 3D world and has some challenge to it since you never know if there's something behind you or not. The things you can make in minecraft also outdo Terraria, not to mention all the mods.
