Yeah so:

If I live in Denmark, I use VPN to create a Netflix subscription in Turkey (Cheap), turn off the VPN and use netflix in Denmark.
I should have all the Danish Netflix content, at a Turkish Netflix price. -Right?

At least that's what I'm trying to do ^^

No because your account belongs to what ever country it was created in. Listen copy right holders know all the angles. Netflix knows all the angles. Nothing is going to work.

Hi guys,

So I currently have a netflix account registered on my mail & card from Denmark. Costs about 99 DKK / month. (2 screens, no 4K)

I've found out that I can actually create an account from Turkey using a VPN and get 4 screens + 4k for 50 DKK / month!

So my question is, is there any way to do that using the same email address and credit card (close/delete account), or do I need to use another email and another card, as they are already registered once at Netflix?

Any input on saving money here is appreciated (except torrenting xD too much of a hassle). (Not that I've ever done it <.<)

Netflix is apparently cracking down on people using VPNs to purchase services as if they were in other regions for cheaper. They may cancel your account.
Other downside is that the content might be different for that region, so you might not get access to the same TV shows and movies.

Use a different card, address, email, etc etc... Preferably a card with the address linked to it based in that country.

Never attempt to log onto that account without the VPN active and it should be good for a while.

If your card's billing address is in Denmark but somehow the service is in Turkey, that will raise some black flag for Netflix and they will likely close your account sooner rather than later.

well It's pretty much impossible to get a billing address in Turkey, wouldn't you say?

Would you have it if you're watching from Denmark though?

You would essentially be purchasing a Turkish version of Netflix, thus you would likely get the content restrictions applied to the region, thus having less tv shows and movies.

But i've heard of people using American VPN's in order to get access to American shows, which are not yet available in Europe?
So basically living in Denmark should yield the same shows I already have, am I wrong?

For example: Living in Canada, if I were to VPN to use an American copy of Netflix I would be unable to access exclusive shows that are only available in Canada, as my Netflix subscription is registered to an American version of the subscription. (Although some countries to overlap on their shows, some countries are more censored than others)

I can help if it ever comes to that lol. Their crackdown also checks if card if your credit card is from a different country/region, also you get significantly less content in Turkish netflix.

Also you can do the same thing for spotify.

The content restrictions are based on location, not account, at least from my experience. Even then, as others have said, it's a bit difficult getting a Turkish subscription

Back to topic, if you guys ever need to use a billing address in Turkey so that you can pay less for Spotify and Netflix, just pick a random address from google maps as they dont send bills n shit.

1) Thats because those VPN's have not been blocked by Netflix yet. They actiivly block the servers. Some times it takes a while for them to figure out when new servers come online.

2) Content is done location  by location. Meaning if Netflix Turkey doesnt have an agreement in place to have Starwars but Denmark does, then you would not have access to Starwars. You have to look at the catelouge in the country you have the Netflix sub.

So basically since you use an American Netflix (VPN) you're able to see American Netflix content, but not Canadian, as Netflix thinks you're in America, right?
So if you turned off the VPN and had a Canadian IP address, the Canadian exclusives would pop up again, right?

I tried this same thing when I was on holidays in Spain & Germany. For example, not all seasons of FRIENDS were available in Germany. (or was it Spain).
And everything was normal when I got back.

So you're saying it is subscription based and not (current) location based?

Alrighty, thanks guys. In conclusion, really not worth the hassle of saving a few bucks and risking getting banned.

It used to be that content was based on your IP, so if you used a VPN to change your IP to a different country, you could unlock the content from there.

No idea if that still works though - Netflix has been cracking down on VPN geounlocking like crazy, and the VPN service I used to use stopped working w/ Netflix, so I didn't bother after that.
