Have your mom call them, or email them or do a live chat online.

 

 

You have to get in touch with FedEx before it's too late. Also, please elaborate on "they weren't able to deliver". Was it their fault (too lazy to get out of their truck or some bs like that) or were you, say, not home to sign for the package?

im at my dads place what is litteraly 5 minutes walk away from my moms, but im going there in 2 days, Is that enought time?

I dunno. Have him call. All you should need is proof it's your order (order number should suffice).

About all you can do is call.  Then you'll find out the reason for the non-delivery.

 

Usually if it's for a signature, that's a common requirement per region.  Hopefully the address was input wrong and you can correct it without repaying for shipping.

Not in the US, it's not.

 

I haven't signed for a package in years.

 

Fedex usually does 2 attempts, first time they leave a form on your door, and then they try again.  If not home then, it's at the local office for you to pick up with said form.

 

At least here it's that way.

When the delivery company failed to complete the delivery for whatever reason (I forget now), they ended up dropping it off at the post office and left that "failed to deliver" notice on my door that said it would be there for a week before being sent back. It was only one package, though. And for whatever reason, they wouldn't deliver to my P.O.Box.

PO boxes are usually only for the national postal service, USPS for you. Meaning FedEx, UPS and others like them are not supposed to be able to deliver straight to it.

Or at least, that's how it works here in Canada if I rent a PO box with Canada Post.

Oh, that's interesting. I've been using it for the past 5+ years, and I have everything shipped there. The biggest one is Amazon. Though, it is a UPS Store, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

if im not there to sign for it they drop it off at the post office. theres really no excuse to send it back to the shipper if nobody is there to sign for it because people have work and stuff and cant be home all day

• Package signature requirement depending on the sender requirement. For example, Amazon shipment don't require one if the overall cost is under a certain amount (100$ where I am). If it is over, then you need to sign.
• FedEx and other mail carriers, either do at the very least 2 attempts before returning it, or only 1 attempt and expect you to call after, if no call received after a certain day, it gets returned to the sender. 
• Keep in mind that even though no signature is required, it is up to the deliver person to decide if it is safe to leave the package outside or not. Road blocks can also leads to deliver person flag the shipment as a failed delivery. Weather conditions can also lead to this. Depending on the company policy, they may reattempt the next day if weather is better or request the receiver (you) to go to a mail carrier center to pick it up (I don't mean those drop boxes or store, I mean actually go to the mail carrier company mail hub facility which might be a long drive to reach, if it is on local store, they normally give you a paper on the door where to go and get it). Every mail company is different, and it may depend also on package size, weight and shipping service selected by the shipper (ie: that will not happen if you take same day shipping, for example, due to the premium price you pay).
• Lastly, a typo or missing information on a shipments information can cause a package to be returned to the sender mid way. A missing apartment number, missing letter after a civic address (example: 123A Fake street, where "A" is missing). 

Note that when a package is returned, it is being returned... you can put a hold on the return process, but you need to call. Ideally the shipper needs to call. The receiver of the package has no power unless the shipper explicit give them (for example, the ability for the receiver to auto-sign in advance a package from the  mail carrier website, freeing the mailing company and seller from responsibility if the package doesn't actually arrive in your hands). So call now.

 

In all cases, it is the shipper responsibility to keep track of the order and call when needed. So for example, if there was a typo in the address, then your mom (assuming she sent it her self) needs to contact FedEx, provide the tracking information, her name and all that, and then can place an address correction.  If it s store that sent it, you need to inform the store, and hopefully they can contact FedEx or whoever on time and place the correction. (Although, the store might be nice enough for a full reimbursement including shipping cost, possible due to a special agreement/deal they have with the shipping company to recoup the cost back for the shipping)

 

This is what I know. To know the exact details, again, as everyone said, call them. If you wait 2 days, then probably the packages will already be back in the shipper/sender hands, and you lost your shipping fee. You'll need to pay it again as if it was the first time it was being sent.

My dad called, and they said linus didnt put the specified phone number on the package, so when it was going threw costums, they could not toll it beacause my name was on it and im under 18. And heres comes the phone number part. Then they were gona call, but since Linus (or his packageing and merch sender) didnt put phone number on the package, they could not. 

And so. it was sent in return. 

 

Im not blaming anyone. im just saying next time maybe do that
