Can I install AMD CPU with seperal cooler?

So I am about to buy AMD Ryzen 5 2600X and it will come with a heatsink for this CPU. I got a water cooling system for CPU in my pc and I am too lazy to take it out. Will I be able to use AMD CPU with not the heatsink that comes with it?

If you want to use your AiO you can... just make sure the mounting is compatible.

So you want to use your AIO with your CPU..

Or do you want to use the stock cooler and leave the AIO in the PC?

 

If the former; check mounting compatibility, get some fresh thermal paste and use it.

If the latter; why..? Why would you want to leave the radiator in the PC??

Presumably we're not talking about a custom water loop, right? So it's 8 screws max to take the thing out, 4 if it's a single rad, how hard can that be?

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad
