YT Short Notifications vs. YT Channel Notifications

Hello all, 

Does anyone know if there is a way to shut down you tube short notifications for a channel that you like without also shutting down channel notifications? There are a couple of channels that I really enjoy their long content, but their shorts are just clipped up versions of the long content that I may have already watched. I only want the notification dopamine hit when it is content that I haven't seen in long form already. Thanks to anyone that has a solution.

Not as far as I'm aware. I just unsubscribed from any channel that posted shorts.

What Spotty said above. Even if I had YouTube notifications enabled on my phone (which I don't), I only ever watch videos on desktop, thus receiving a bunch of YouTube Shorts notifications would be pointless because there's no way in heckin heck I'm watching vertical video on a landscape monitor.

 

Alas, Google doesn't believe in providing customization of notifications, so your only option is to unsubscribe from channels you don't want YouTube Shorts notifications for.
