Should I sell Ryzen and get Intel?

I just build a new pc about a month ago with ryzen 2600 . At that time I didn't knew much about motherboards so I messed up and picked x470 Ultra Gaming from gigabyte because I thought that it was x470 so it would be far superior then any b450 but I was wrong because after I bought I found out that there are a lot of bad reviews about it dying and doing weird stuff etc. The thing is I am afraid now that my board might die because of all the people who are giving review about it. I built this PC after working soo hard and it's my first high end build. long story short, I can sell the mobo and processor for about almost the same price because ryzen boards are short in my country so they are much expensive now then as compared to they were a month ago.(probably will lose about 20-40$). The thing is should I do it? I am thinking about selling it and switching to intel 9400f or 9600k. Should I do it? And I don't know if my mobo will be able to handle the 3000 series processors. I am really confused rn. 

PS: There is no RMA here so if the board dies it dies.

Yes it's working so far without any issue. But haven't Oced the processor yet + I am not sure if next gen 8/16t processors will be able to run on it.

According to the mobo tier list, it is a high end board, unless i'm reading it wrong.

Odds are it will continue to be fine if it is fine now, most computer parts I've had were either DOA or worked for years.

It should be fine, it will support Zen 2 CPUs

I don't think they are,  I believe it goes Ultra then aorus 3, 5, 7 with 7 being the top tier for gigabyte.

Yeah I would be only going for the 3600 that would be more then enough for me. Fingers crossed.

Should I replace a reasonable secure processor with one where Securuty holes are popping up every other month??

OC isn't the strong point of Ryzen, sadly. So that's something you can't really do. What you need to do is Edit the P-States. And I don't know if your Board supports it.

 

As for Ryzen 3000 Support: Gigabyte hasn't yet released the Ryzen 3000 SUpport List.

MSI was the first because someone stirred some shit and there was some kind of miscommunication, so MSI released a statement that says that they will be compatible with Ryzen 3000.

ASUS Followed, the last one was Biostar.

 

Gigabyte might release somthing like that or just drop the BIOS Support...

Because some "nice person" told you that Intel is better and/or worse stuff for buying AMD??

 

If that's the case, you should read up on the last Security stuff dropping on Intel, MDS its called and that Google disabled SMT (Hyper Threading) for Chrome OS.

As well as other stuff and drop that on that person. And tell that "at least I don't have to worry about that".

 

And also you should be able to drop in the next generation AMD Chips, while with the Intel LGA1151v2 its unlikely that the next Intel CPU will work in that Socket. So you would sell your stuff, get an Intel, then have to sell the Intel stuff again, when the next best thing is coming.

 

Another thing: AMD will release 7nm CPUs within the next couple of weeks.

Intel has nothing under 14nm in the forseeable future. Rumors are rumoring something about end of 2020, probably more 2021 or 2022 but then go straight to 7nm...

 

 

Buttom Line:
It doesn't look good for Intel long term.

Short term the 9400F isn't much better than your 2600 and you have to actually pay money (or find someone who would exchange it with you). Its just not worth the hassle.

What do I think AMD is?

 

AMD is a viable low cost alternative to Intel that offers 80-90% of the performance for 50-60% of the cost.

 

When Zen 2 launches, it may be even better than Intel.

 

I love my 8700k, and won't trade it for any Ryzen chips, but it doesn't make AMD Ryzen bad.

Intel is definitely great at taking consumer's money, and lots of money at that, for chips with apparent security vulnerabilities
