RTX 2070 and GT 210

Ajrocket

Hello, I have a little problem witch my drivers. I have 2 GPUs, RTX 2070 and GT 210. I want to use the 210 for older monitor with VGA. When I tried to install drivers for each GPU, it´s just not working. Is there any program to control single GPU drivers? Thanks.

Just adapt DisplayPort to VGA. That format should work. DP, unlike HDMI, can adapt to analog.

Do you have iGPU? if your motherboard has VGA you could use it instead.

doesn't work because you can only use one driver per manufacturer.

So two possibilitys:

a) replace the 2070 with a VEGA

b) replace the GT 210 with an AMD Card.

Well, if you still wnt the 2nd GPU...

There are other, better solutions as mentioned by @Princess Cadence and @dDave64.

Personally I'd recommend an active DP to VGA Adaptor.

The 650Ti and 1080Ti don't have a different driver, they can both run the same version so there's no incompatibility as such. The GT2xx cards use a different branch specific to all DX10 cards.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

Yes true, as both the GPUs you named are supported by the same Driver.

Ditch the 210 and buy one of these. It's on the pricey side for cables like that, but imo Cable Matters is the best of the cable/adapter brands on Amazon. Problem solved.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

I used different drivers when nvidia releases unstable versions for older cards

simple uninstall in device manager and select the older driver in device manager

and there you have it

And what Cards are you talking about?!

I tried various Cards, for example Radeon X1 Series and Radeon HD5k or so that just don't work with newer drivers because of shared DLLs and other stuff...
