I've probably gonna buy an Aurora in the next two days.

What ship were you planning on getting?

 

Personally I've got a 315p and an Avenger, the Avenger for dogfights and the 315P for exploration. I've been thinking about upgrading to getting a freelancer, but I wanted LTI for that, so I guess I'm out of luck there :(

 

 

Probably just one of the Aurora.... for now

I like the idea of elections, that would be truly a realistic feel to getting a seat on the council. Although i believe that the highest Rank in the council should not be given to any elected person, i believe that person should be in the council for a minimum time before being eligible. Like how Jedi Master's had to be Jedi for a certain period of time, there were more requirements. I'm just saying don't let the newbie with 20 friends win an election that is very important.

I don't think a newb would have 20 friends. And there are hundreds of us so I don't think 20 friends will not make a difference.

Btw ixi, could you add another poll for people to say their timezones? From -12 to +12 (maybe with only the even numbers so it's not too big).

I'm asking this because while 150+ people seems like a lot, it might not be. We could be looking at only 10 people concurrently online during "active" timezones.

What would you say to using a Freelancer for smuggling?

It'll be interesting to see how the searching system works, maybe you could have a HUGE ship with tons of cargo, and half of it is legit, the other half isn't though, and as a result after a while the police would get tired of searching and let you go.

Apparently it's likely to be an external scan. I seem to remember reading that one upgrade might be a scan resistant cargo bay... I'm totally the next Han Solo!!!!
